Except 1998's "Supreme Immortal Art" I never found access to ABIGOR's black art. Too complex, too much avantgarde, too weird for me. Actually, "Totschläger" goes in the same direction, but this time I can follow and enjoy the band's progressive melodic black metal. It is often harsh, has a lot rough edges and is far away from being simple and catchy, but songs like "Silent Towers, Screaming Tombs" spread a certain magic I like and know from bands like Arcturus for example. I love Algleymi very much but there’s one area in which this is superior: production, especially the drums. Otherwise they’re two quite different records, but both are black metal classics as far as I’m concerned. Hopefully we won’t have to wait long to hear more. Metallurgical Fire
